Who will be responsible for paying Tax and National Insurance Contribution?
Domestic employers have the same legal obligations as commercial employers under the UK employment law.
The Employer has the obligation to pay Employees Tax and National Insurance contributions. The employer will also pay an Employers National Insurance Contribution, register with the Inland Revenue and provide detailed summary of all payments and deduction in an annual basis to the government.
Paying the Salary, Tax, and National Insurance Contributions is a big burden for the employer, understanding the difficulty of tax calculations would be too much so the easiest solution to the Tax and NI is to approach a specialist agency that can help on behalf of employer at a bare minimum cost. We highly recommend Nanny Tax to all our clients and you can visit their website on our link page or contact them on 01273 626256.
How many hours can the applicants work?
The hours of work will depend on the type of position the applicant applied for. If it is full time work, the applicants are willing to work 40 hours a week with 1 ½ or 2 days off. Additional hours should be agreed initially and should be paid accordingly. If it is part time, the applicants are willing to work a minimum 4 hours and maximum 10 hours a day.
Do you provide another domestic staff in case they left the employment?
YES, provided that the Employer has paid all fees and other sums due, the Agency offer a no obligation, free of charge, 10 weeks replacement service.
Within that period the agency will endeavour to replace the applicant until the Employer is satisfied with the replacement candidate.
